Pretty strong entries overall, but settled on several entries that best fit the parameters of the Features category. A fair number of submissions really seemed better suited to General News, in our opinion. A mostly even mix of the eventual contenders between scenics and slice-of-life moments, we settled on the latter for our top awards. First place was a humorous and timely image, enhanced by great backstory and cutline. Second place was elevated due to the feeling of unabashed joy the image conveys. Third place was a nicely-executed scenic that edged out a few others also in contention.
