First place was an immediate standout. We loved the scale of the subject against the tiny model and the larger structure in the back with a very laidback personality portrait.
Second place looked like a previously thought-out portrait to show the strengths of this particular football player. The use of the sun was great and the pop of strobe gave the subject detail and some ghosting to add movement and stop action.
Third place was chosen because it was a nice moment of a man with his dog. This was a case of a good caption helping lend emotion to an image.
