A truly remarkable low level of entries across all the categories in this region for this month. Nothing in this category really stood-out. We hate to say that, we know how difficult the hunt can be, how challenging it can be when the news budget is a black hole and the photographer (and how few of us there are anymore) is suddenly responsible for bailing out the layout of the print edition. Sometimes, far too often, the stars just do not align. At best the entries this month were near misses, at worst, they were examples of pointing the camera for no better reason than it was expected. In the end we opted for the one silhouette being worthy of some sense of recognition. The execution was good, with the low angle making for the clean background and the dramatic bit of flare.
