Overall a disappointingly weak category especially considering the number of entries. Too many stock-looking photos with weak cropping. There were a couple of very good action photos like the running back that needed to be cropped.
1st place - Well composed and captured great action. Love the details throughout like the clown's light-up sneakers and slobber flying off the bull. Captures the personality of an angry pissed-off animal.
2nd place - Captured good action with the helmet popping off but a tighter crop would have helped tremendously.
3rd place - Volleyball. Clean background, good composition, and expression and emotion from the player. The focus is right on her eyes.
