First place – We have a feeling this type of image might be becoming "a thing," but thought this image was interesting anyway. Liked the balance of the two couples and the unmasked happiness vs. the masked somberness. Solid composition and cool light. Second place – It's Texas and you all see cowboy hats all the time, but apparently we're all fascinated with them. Especially when they hold such rich detail and are backed-up by the Stars 'n' Stripes. Super clean and graphic. Third – There's a whole lot going on in this image, but we loved the intentional composition. The kids are just a mess... and in this image it works.
