Judges Comments

First place – Strong portrait of a strong character. The jagged lines and harsh light really work. Cool shades, too. Second place – It takes a brave photographer to put so much color in the midst of so much color. However, it paid off. The subject's personality somehow comes through in the beautiful clutter. Third place – There were some good discussions on this image. Some judges loved it. Others thought it lacked a little depth (thought a little more of that light on the side would have added that depth). Obviously it won us over in the end.
