Judges were impressed with how strong this category was with 10-15 images rising to the top. That made final selections difficult. Which is a good thing. Kudos to everyone who entered. While one might think all the winners are from track because one judge was on their high school track team. However, they rose to the top due to tight composition of peak action. 1) Doesn't get much better than an expressive athlete, flying sand and a clean background. 2) See comments for First minus the flying sand. 3) Again, great expressions at the height of competition.
