The judges appreciated that photographers remembered the importance of a human element in a successful stand-alone feature. And that is what pushed first and second into those spots. 1) The entire body shadow really makes this frame and putting the wall on the one-third line is an excellent touch. 2) The layers of trees and reflection are intriguing. Good job on the photographers part to put themselves in the right place and wait for a human to complete the frame. 3) Great lines and light. The juxtaposed curvy wall with grid of the farm makes it even more interesting.
