We really liked that the first place photographer was thinking a bit outside the box as to what a portrait can be. Second and third were close, both really nice portraits with some minor problems. The quote in the second place one gave it the edge. Second place has great light and a nice pose but the exit sign in the background was killing us. If you couldn't compose around it a crop could take care of it. Third also has gorgeous light and a nice pose but the intersection of the hat with his left eye bothered us.
