Both first and second place entries are exceptionally well done. They involve a difficult topic but are done with respect and intimacy. Great job in a tough situation. Third place was wonderful throughout, but both judges would suggest the final photograph to be done in a way that felt so staged. It didn't seem to fit the rest of the essay which was strong throughout.
