First Place: Photographer got there early enough to see a neighbor reacting to the fire. A bit of humor too with the woman holding her tiny dog. Second place: Strong emotion in this frame. One judge wanted to see more information in the caption. Third place: Once the caption is read, the photo is fully appreciated. The photographer gathered enough information at the scene to know to incorporate the sign into the image.
