Teen sisters aspiring to be professional circus performers was a joy to view. It was probably the best entry from the month. Looking in on a teen’s life, the photographer captured images that were well composed, intimate in details, funny, and well-edited. Though we didn’t have a summary to go on, we figured the second place story was about making a count of the homeless and getting them to a warming shelter. Nice variety of photos under tough circumstances. We liked the mother-daughter wildlife rehab story for third place. A couple of really nice photos that needed a better supporting cast of others.
