Judges Comments

This was the smallest and weakest category. Not a slight against photographers, it's just that we don’t cover spot news like we used to. First was a composed frame from the aftermath of a car gone awry. Second was the aftermath of an accident and shooting. Third was a fire in a homeless encampment being put out by the fire department. Third, we think by looking at the other categories, just happened to be where the photographer was already on assignment. Nice when that happens. 🙂
