This category had few entries and most entries were not tightly edited. Just because the photos ran in a slideshow doesn't mean they all should be entered for this category. Election reactions had the most consistent, well-made images showing a variety of angles, reactions, distances, and scenes from an extended news day story. Judges loved the concept and many of the Noodle restaurant images, but the editing needs to be tighter and every frame needs to show us something different about the family. The turkey farm story had one frame with amazing light which was enough to get it into placement. This story could use more variety in lensing and a step-back from the 'what' of the processing to the 'why & who' of the processing.
