Again, many entries here that are not portraits, but general news images... good entries that we ultimately disqualified from our consideration. Protests are general news or occasionally breaking news. First place was beautifully composed and toned. Second place took a read of the caption but was a great way to solve a problem of keeping a subject anonymous in a colorful and storytelling way. Third place benefitted from a different angle and great natural light.
