Many multiple photo entries that had a few standout images but lacked a tight edit which made them weaker as a whole entry than the single photo entries. First place is an exceptionally well composed shot with the photographer utilizing a difficult lighting situation that added to the feel and mood of the moment. We like the whole frame of second place - the scene, the lighting, the peak moment and even all the way to the lone BLM sign at the end of the stair railing- it's just a great news image. Third place is a great story-telling image with nice framing.
