First was a solid set of images showing several different moments and aspects of COVID-19 era funerals. The images were all thoughtful in their storytelling, well-composed and tightly edited. The second was solid protest coverage with a good variety of moments. In third place, there were several lovely images but it suffered from too many lesser, repetitive images. A much tighter edit would have helped. A few other entries had great potential, especially both Navajo stories, but it looked like more time was needed to really have a solid story.
