Our top two picks rose pretty quickly here, but there was quite a bit of back and forth about a good number of other entries. Really could have put several others in the third spot. First place - First place was consensus choice for us. A quiet and intimate moment bolstered by beautiful light. The expression on the child really makes the image. Second place - The pairing of the subject’s shirt and background flag adds a sense of “trompe l'oeil” which we found interesting. Body language, expression and the unusual configuration of stars also add to its uniqueness. Third place - We awarded the third place photo based purely on composition, tone and execution. We liked its monochromatic feel and quality of light.
