Judges Comments

First place is a beautifully shot image, using the hose to frame the firefighters. It shows the photographer was thinking about the frame, even in a moment of action. Second place is a good moment and does a good job separating the subject from the fire, which can be difficult to do at night. Third place would have placed higher if the subject's foot wasn't out of frame. It is still a great shot, but the crop could have been a little tighter since the foot is already out of frame.
