There were a lot of entries that belonged in general news. Some of them also could have gone into features. However, the winner had us cracking up! The emotion of the second photo was great, but it would have been stronger if it showed some of the scene they were reacting to. The last one was visually striking, but the news value was less compelling than the first two.
