1st, A somber scene: real modern-day people and an old historic painting worked well together, and the reflection of them all together in the shiny table was doubly effective. 2nd, Tough Spell, showed funny expressions at a very routine assignment, a spelling bee. 3rd, Veteran Vigil, captured a serious scene with a strong foreground center of interest, the couple lighting candles. Night time made it technically difficult. “Grantsville Vigil” would’ve done better as singles, not a package.
