The judges liked the multiple layers and story-telling of the first place photograph showing normal day happenings while a protest goes on (reflected in a window). With a good caption explaining protests had been going on for two weeks, the photograph fit the situation perfectly. We voted for the fall harvest photograph for second place, liking the angle and the movement of the product shooting back to the truck. More caption information would have helped. And we liked the emotion of joy that’s captured in the third place photograph.
