Not as many entries here. Wanted to see more of the essence of the person. 1st place: A nice series of portraits illustrated a strong idea. The photographer’s consistency of idea, composition, and technique throughout the series is what elevated this to the top spot. 2nd place: liked the originality of the image – how the photographer shot through the fabric in order to tell the story of not only the artist, but also of that fabric and where it was made. The photographer clearly paid close attention to the fabric pattern and to how the light fell on the woman in order to make the most of the juxtaposition , to capture a certain mood. 3rd place: This image truly captured the essence of its subject, especially with how the light was handled. Its color and dynamism captured the entertainer
