The winning entry lead with a tight photo full of action with a strong composition. It was the strongest contender, with the additional photos from the scene only weakening the entry. The second-place entry is a good storytelling frame, with both the driver and victim in the scene. The second frame could have been tighter to avoid the domination of the vehicle grill. Our third place pick had a breaking moment, but lacked that intimacy of the other entries.
