First place has a variety of great images showing the impact of flooding as well as the resilient spirit of the locals. Second place captured a lively moment from the Dr. John funeral procession. The third-place photo is touching and really communicates the family’s love for one another. There were a few entries in this category with multiple photos, which is fine (see the first place winner), but some could have been entered as photo essays and others could have benefited from trimming down the entry to just the best of the bunch.
