This was also a strong category with a nice variety of images. Several photographers sent in pictures of beaches whales, but we liked the detail shot of the whale's tail decorated with flowers as the most meaningful shot of that subject. We thought the close-up image of Zamora Strong with tears streaming through her face paint was a powerful image. The caption and story behind the girl graduating really added to the emotion in the photo.
