Judges Comments

This was a strong category with a lot of variety. First place was our favorite out of the different chemical fire entries. It had a good feel to it with a strong composition. Second place really told the story in the single frame with the memorial site in one corner and the bike lane sign in the other corner. Really well balanced. Third place was amusing. Good work on the photographer for being prepared and getting this from a run of the mill assignment. The expression on Sen. Kim Hammer's face helped it a lot. Some multiple photo entries would be much stronger as singles.
