First place gave us the best variety in pictures. There were great moments, and they weren’t repetitive. It gave me an understanding of the people the photographer focused on, as well as their environment. Second place had a clear vision and consistency in execution and toning throughout the project, showing us different vantage points of the fire’s reach. Third place has some nice imagery in it, and flows decently. It also has an incredible subject who we want to see so much more of going forward. To that photographer, we encourage going back and spending time outside of the boxing ring to really develop this into a much more intimate piece, showing us daily life with purpose and challenges along the way.
