The light, the moment, and the dramatic mood propelled the locker-room image the First place. Second place was motivated by as essential reaction on the part of the player, a simple composition and clear storytelling qualities of the image. While we have all seen ballfield celebratory pile-ups before, the emotion, expressions and dynamic energy of the image made third place a winner.
