TONS of entries, too many to be honest. The winners showed genuine moments which is what we really should be looking for in our work. As well, photographers really need a second set of eyes when preparing entries as some don't quite make the cut as a few are 'record' photos. These could be elevated with a bit more time and thought before pressing the shutter. or to put it another way, if they worked the scene a bit more, they might have found better photos or angles. Many of the entries showed the seeds of potential but they just needed some watering.
One of the entries in a story would have done well if entered as a single, so remember the maxim that the weakest photograph can bring down an entire essay (or portfolio).
