Judges Comments

The first place entry was an obvious choice for us. We especially loved photo 01 and photo 03, which had such perfect framing and emotion. We initially skipped over the second place image, but once we read the caption, we wanted to applaud the photographer for going back to the neighborhood to capture this different than normal follow up to a bigger news story. Very good thinking and effort. Third place is a good image of a vigil assignment.
