There's no doubt that your region knows how to shoot sports action. Very impressive category. Out of 54 entries we selected racing ATV elbows deep in mud. Second, went to a young rodeo star getting thrown to the ground. Focus was dead-on and startling. Nice picture. Third place was just an interesting composition of the start of a swimming event. We can't really define why we liked it, but we did. It barely edged out a cool basketballer in an upside-down dunk. We awarded that an honorable mention and on any other day it might have earned the First place slot. This was a tough category to judge because almost every image was spectacular. After lengthy discussions, we all agreed on these winners, but it truly could have been almost any other picture. Well done, Northwest folks.
