Spot news should usually have emotion and that's what we chose. First Place - The composition and balance is fantastic and the emotion from every person in the frame makes this a winner. Second Place - It's not easy to shoot this kind of emotion at a local spot news event. Good job. Third Place - This photo would have screamed louder if was cropped tighter.
