Judges Comments

1st. Well-handled portrait of a difficult subject to tackle. The toning is a bit heavy-handed, but being in the portrait/illustration category, we were a little more accepting of the treatment. 2nd. We liked the lighting and graphics of this illustration. Food illustrations are successful when they make the viewer hungry. This succeeded. 3rd. This was a bit on the cheesy side, but by the looks of the subject, that was probably an honest interpretation. We did think a better caption would have given us a little more insight into what this guy's schtick is and what kind of food he serves up.
