Judges Comments

First place is striking and does a good job of capturing the entirety of a rapidly developing scene. Judges would have preferred to see a tighter edit, but as a whole, the images are still well-done. Second place shows a tense situation and is supported by its strong reporting from the photographer, evidenced by the caption. Judges appreciated the photographer following up with the story. Third shows a strong sense of place following the weather event.
