There was no question that our first-place winner had a leg up on the competition, but puns aside, this was a tremendous feature. Our second-place pick is a nice storytelling moment that other photographers may have overlooked amid the chaos of a triple-overtime celebration. Third place gets a nod purely for being different (and entertaining) subject matter, although it could use another pass in Photoshop to be toned better.
