Coming from a market without a lot of spot news, we still were underwhelmed. Those who submitted multiple-image entries, they failed to tell compelling story, images repetitive or just not needed. Again saw one or two images in a series that would have been better off as single entries and would have taken 2nd, 3rd, but when combined with a second or multiple images, watered down entry. In these cases, less would have been more. First image combined a key moment as police took arson suspect away, but combined it with just enough context to strengthen it. Great composition that gave a little more info than just cops dragging away a suspect. Although could have benefited from a little more cropping.
