Judges Comments

We recognized in the first place entry the effort that went into it as well as the approach taken in photographing people without identifying them. A better narrative arc would have been great, but that issue was present in all the entries. Second place had the most potential as a photo story, but the lack of a beginning or end to the story held it back. In the third place entry we liked that the photographer made an attempt to get there early and tell the story of the event, but we felt it could have been edited tighter.
