Judges Comments

Trying something different and succeeding always separates an image from the pack and 1st place did that. Great emotion and use of a wide angle. Black and white is nice but this image would have been just as compelling in color. 2nd place is very impactful and the levitating helmet gave the photo an extra level of goodness. Third place is strong jubilation with the emoting fan balancing the joyful hockey players.
