There were 40 entries in this category. We found the vast majority to show missed opportunities and poor composition. We chose our top three with a lot of conversation and wanted to share some hopefully helpful comments: First place had the stand out quirky juxtaposition of unique characters in an out of place setting. Even the rain helps. (bad weather makes good photos) We felt that the photographer could have made a better image had they stayed with the duo and taken the time to compose a cleaner background or even waited for a stronger moment. Second place is well toned and a clean image but we wondered if the event might have offered any stronger situations. Third place was awarded as a solid image, however, again, we believed that something more creative or intimate might have come from a county fair.
