So many of these disqualified themselves because they needed an edit. Multiple entries had strong images, but the weaker ones killed it for us. Our winning story was was well edited and had a nice sense of intimacy with the subjects, it told the story and didn’t overdue it.Additionally, shooting at night isn’t always easy and the photographer handled it flawlessly.
