We loved the framing of the first place photo and how intimate it is.The light is beautiful and the news value of the photo is strong.Second place is a fantastic series about the Confederate statue story. Not only does it tells the breadth of the story and showcase the passions behind the issue but it also has some killer images like the Faith skywriting one. Third place is a great find that offers a glimmer of hope amidst the racial divide that the Confederate flag issue has stirred up. This was the strongest overall category.
