First place stood out quickly. It was tightly edited, showed emotion, huge flames, spectacular light in one photo, and nice framing. Great job. Second place had good strong emotions. The shot of the body was well executed so that it can be run in the paper without public uproar. Third place is a graphic shot that is beautiful and shows the extent of the damage to the house. One problem with the image is the uniqueness of the image and whether we only like it because it's a different angle that can only be captured with a drone or from a helicopter.
