Judges Comments

With 37 entries, this category was the largest and hardest to judge. There were many excellent shots from daily assignments at all levels. First showed an unusual tag-out and great composition. Second gracefully captured gymnastics with a determined face. Third place soccer had it all, two intense faces and the ball. Alternate: Swim photo had a vividness and crispness that was a bonus to the large foreground swimmer pushing off. A strong shot with what was probably a 50mm lens. Overall, nice celebrations and action in this category.
