Judges Comments

This was a challenge to judge because there wasn't one clear winner.All entries (including the winners) had issues with editing. 1st – Some absolutely stunning images in this entry (and a couple that we wondered why they were used). It gave us a solid sense of what it is to work a sheep herd, but not much about what the herders go through. 2nd – Again, some great images in here and a great story subject, but 16 pictures is too many when so many are so similar in the points they're trying to convey. The photographer spent a lot of time with this boy and it shows. 3rd – This offered a lot of visual variety. There were some images where the focus, in our opinions,was on the wrong subject and some of the color distracted from thesubject in others, but overall a nice collection of images.
