First place: This photo stood out among the other entrants because ofthe balance between the foreground and the background, leading to the subject between the two. It is far different from the many photoentries laden with police lights. Second place: The photographer deserves credit for being on scene at the right time and catching the guy climbing out of the vehicle.There is a lot happening in the frame, but I think it helps tell the story of what happened. Third place: This is an excellent and powerful moment. We chose this photo because of the emotion and impact it conveys.
