Judges Comments

Much discussion between the top two choices but eventually gave the edge to the mother/son portrait, due to the image's backstory, lighting and facial expression of the woman. Second place was awarded for its composition, lighting and body gesture. We thought the inclusion of the upper painting at top was also a plus. Third place was nicely framed and appropriate to the story.
