1st Place: Three images of a distraught hoarder with many animals (especially birds) and police interaction was fantastic. Great access and emotion made for a strong first place. 2nd Place: A baby being transported for med-flight combined urgency through the faces of first-responders. 3rd Place: This moody night shot of police officers investigating a shooting all with expression held out attention while looking at the picture. Excellent photo!
