First was definitely the standout image but could have benefited from the additional caption info we saw in a different image from the same situation. But it is beautifully photographed. The decision between second and third came down to the caption. While second is very nice graphically, we preferred the moment and emotion in the cat photo. Unfortunately the resident with the cat was not identified and in such a close, intimate photo we felt the name was really needed.
