Judges Comments

We were disappointed at the lack of solid entries. The first place image captured a strong and powerful moment. Second place photograph shows that the photographer was patient in capturing a moment that speaks to her character and humanizes her. Third place was a funny and unique portrait that captures the personality of the police chief, which isn't always an easy or light-hearted job. The photographer did a good job of taking a potentially simple portrait and making the subject's personality shine through.
